Notification of custom clearance, in real time, for importers.
In Riodit (Customs broker, one of the top 20 Uruguayan brokers), they needed a tool to notify their customers the current status of their imports, in real time, without the need for each customer to communicate by phone or by WhatsApp.
This problem caused people to slow down their daily work, as they had to answer their clients' queries and lost the focus on making customs declarations in an efficient and secure manner.
A mobile application was designed for importers, in which they could verify the current status of their custom clearance, without having to telephone the office. This application notifies each importer if a new custom clearance was created, or if it changed status to another.
In addition, a connection was designed with the Mega6 system by which customs brokers manage their imports. Then, the status update of each folder/import continues automatically through the Lucia System (Uruguay’s Customs Declaration System).
After a period in which customers adapted to the communication through the app and to have control of their imports, the time spent by the Riodit team in response to queries decreased and they were able to dedicate it to other tasks.
We managed to get along very well with the whole team which allowed us to have an App as we imagined it, we have already recommended them and we will continue to do.
